Watching Eat The Document convinced me that seeing the man at work was even better than just hearing him, and the footage in No Direction Home was a revelation; it's just staggeringly good and desrved to be the centre-piece of the film. In particular the full version of Like A Rolling Stone from Newcastle is jaw-dropping - listen to it with no picture and it sounds amazing, but watching Dylan grimace, twitch and grin through the performance so emotively lifts it to a category on its own. I know of no other single performance better than this one. The acoustic material, which never particularly thrilled me when listening to it, turns out to be completely transfixing when viewed, by the way that Dylan inhabits these songs and brings them to life. The heart bleeds to know that there is more of this footage in the archives. I've considered claiming a terminal illness in order to persuade Sony to let me watch it in a secret bunker somewhere before I die, but that would be selfish. It would be much fairer to the rest of the world if Sony were to release a DVD of all available footage, or at least a concert-worth of material. I'm certain that this would then go down as the greatest live DVD ever released (and I could die happy).

Marina said:

Where can i buy this dvd????
heelllllllllll..................!!
send me an e-mail!!
x,
brazil

Marina tag:legacyrecordings.uservoice.com,2008-02-07:Event/10458436 2011-12-27T14:33:32-08:00 2011-12-27T14:33:32-08:00 The Front - Please reissue "The Front" 1989 Columbia Records and Bakers Pink (1993 Epic) [updated]
I work on a fan website for this band and can document hundreds of requests from fans wanting to purchase this album. Bob Dylan's first major U.K. show, and it exists gathering dust in Columbia's vaults in apprently stunning quality in terms of performance and sound. It's rumoured that it was mastered for possible release in 2006 as a bonus freebie with 'Modern Times' but then scrapped. Although we have the official 'Live 1964' release, this is significantly different in terms of the set played - first ever performance of 'Mr. Tambourine Man', 'Restless Farewell', 'It Ain't Me Babe' with an extra verse that has never been heard?!? Michael Jackson has only done FOUR MAJOR CONCERT WORLD TOUR and ONE SPECIAL performance at Madison Square Garden (2001). The VICTORY TOUR 1984 The BAD TOUR 1987-1989 The DANGEROUS TOUR 1992-1993 The HISTORY TOUR 1996-1997 30th ANNIVERSARY CONCERT 2001 With only ONE concert officially released on the market.. unfortunately, the other concert tours do not get the attention that they deserve. Many of us have often had to make do with poor TV recorded VHS qualities and amateur recordings. I feel that if we show that there is a large enough demand for this box set project (one concert from each tour) then we will be able to have it OFFICIALLY released and can then experience the MAGIC that is Michael Jackson Live. (The Dangerous tour would also be included in the boxset) The best choice of concerts for the boxset should be: The VICTORY TOUR (Live in Dallas, Texas) The BAD TOUR (Live at Wembley Stadium) The DANGEROUS TOUR (Live in Bucharest) The HISTORY TOUR (Live in Munich) 30th ANNIVERSARY CONCERT (Live at MSG) All of Michael’s concerts are AMAZING, and it’s sad that many people haven’t had the chance to experience these awesome concerts. We want the picture on screen to be CRYSTAL CLEAR and with HIGH QUALITY sound/audio. Let’s show LEGACY RECORDINGS that we want this project to become reality. I know we as fans and admirers can make this happen.

willjustice89 said:

I'd like to say thanks to everyone who has helped this idea reach the top! (If the latter, perhaps you could include both the original 1954 mono recording and the 1959 stereo re-recording of the former album.)

L1975 said:

I absolutely second this! "Music of Christmas" needs a proper remastering to replace the old CD release. "Hallelujah" ("Music of Christmas Vol. 2"), which was already beautifully remastered in 1997, should also be brought back into print. These are perhaps the two greatest instrumental Christmas albums ever recorded, and Sony should be proud to present them to the public with the best possible sound. Do this, Sony, and you have my personal guarantee that I will buy a dozen copies OF EACH to show my appreciation.

L1975 tag:legacyrecordings.uservoice.com,2008-02-07:Event/10177578 2011-11-06T09:12:13-08:00 2011-11-06T09:12:13-08:00 Bruce Springsteen on SACD [updated]
The fact that the Bosses entire catalog was not reissued on SACD already is a travesty. Please release at least Born To Run and Darkness On The Edge Of Town on SACD (Multichannel Preferred)

Steven said:

To my ears, Darkness on the Edge of Town is a great sounding recording (even on CD), but I imagine that an SACD, done well, would give even greater impact to those drums on Something in the Night and make Racing in the Street even smoother and more beautiful than it is already. Imagine how raw the vocals on Streets of Fire might sound. I could go on... I think Legacy would shift loads of these with even just a little marketing. Springsteen fans tend to have decent stereos, it's the right demographic.

Steven tag:legacyrecordings.uservoice.com,2008-02-07:Event/10143106 2011-11-01T02:38:42-07:00 2011-11-01T02:38:42-07:00 The Front - Please reissue "The Front" 1989 Columbia Records and Bakers Pink (1993 Epic) [updated]
I work on a fan website for this band and can document hundreds of requests from fans wanting to purchase this album. Collectors want it. There's alot of material that Michael Jackson has recorded but has not seen the light of day. Many would love a 3 or 4 CD set of unreleased material from the 1976-1994 periods especially from the Off The Wall, Triumph, Thriller, and Bad recording sessions.

Christina Hane said:

want it, want it, want it.

Christina Hane tag:legacyrecordings.uservoice.com,2008-02-07:Event/10117079 2011-10-27T10:28:41-07:00 2011-10-27T10:28:41-07:00 Bob Dylan - BBC 1965 DVD [updated]
Bob Dylan was filmed by the BBC on 1st June 1965 at the venue which is now the Shepherds Bush Empire in London. The show was aired in two half-hour slots, presumably because Britain wasn't quite ready for a straight hour of acoustic Bob at that time (and it probably still isn't) on one of the two available channels. Some enterprising people recorded the audio from their televisions when it was broadcast, and the performances are excellent. There have been rumours that it was recorded on good quality film, and that the BBC still have it in their vaults. There are some photos of the performace which look to have two TV cameras in shot, but who knows for sure? A lot of the BBC's recordings were wiped, but they have definitely shown a high quality clip from a Joan Baez performance at the same venue a couple of weeks later, so if nothing else we have hope. Please get involved with the BBC and get them to find this in their archive. This was the last time he played an acoustic concert before the infamous Newport Festival of 1965, so it was a pivotal gig, and it would be extremely exciting to see him playing one more time before he took the leap into a new world.

Andrew Williams said:

It would be worth the license fee it this could be aired

Andrew Williams tag:legacyrecordings.uservoice.com,2008-02-07:Event/10116775 2011-10-27T09:40:47-07:00 2011-10-27T09:40:47-07:00 Bob Dylan - BBC 1965 DVD [updated]
Bob Dylan was filmed by the BBC on 1st June 1965 at the venue which is now the Shepherds Bush Empire in London.
